Instructions for users
The Global Transportation Program (GTP) is operated by McLarens Young International and W E Cox. The GTP was set up to assist in the settlement of cargo claims. Probably you are a consignee and have discovered that cargo has been lost or damaged. The Insurance Certification accompanying the goods included the web address www.myi-cox.com from where you have now been directed.
The documentation will provide a GTP-Scheme Identifier and GTP-Scheme PassCode. Once you enter these on the two fields above you will go to a web page where we will ask you for some information to enable us to record the claim and get the survey underway. Completion of some of the fields is mandatory, though the more information that you provide, the easier it is for us to help the process.
Once the new claim has been entered, press the "Submit" button. The claim will be registered by the GTP Operations Centre, and the surveyor nearest to you will be advised by email and usually also by a mobile phone SMS. You will also receive confirmation that the survey is underway. If you do not receive email advice within a short time please contact us.
To follow up a claim previously lodged via this website, please send an email to gtp.info@myi-cox.com with the relevant details.   |
Where do I find the GTP-Scheme ID?
The GTP-Scheme Identifier and GTP-Scheme Passcode were provided to you in order for you to report a claim. They would have been printed on the consignment's Insurance Certification or Consignment Documentation (or in some cases in an operations manual). If you do not have a GTP-Scheme Identifier, please contact the shipper.   |
GTP and how to join.
The Global Transportation is an initiative of MYI and WE Cox Claims Group. It is a service operating in partnership with consignors, marine insurance brokers and insurers to improve the speed of claims settlement and eliminate fuss. The GTP ensures that recovery opportunities are maximised, and with full risk management considerations, claims costs are reduced.
The GTP creates capabilities and resources to give a full cradle-to-grave service to companies seeking to streamline their cargo claim handling. It is a true one-stop-shop. GTP circumvents the need for shippers to work with consignees in identifying a nearby surveyor, and having to manage the settlement process. By working with shippers and consignees, and managing survey, settlement and recovery, we can help control the risk exposure, ultimately reducing losses and speeding up the claims settlement process. This is good for everyone expecting to receive goods on time and undamaged.
The GTP is generally offered through insurance brokers but shippers and self-insurers may join the program directly. MYI-Cox have strong bonds with the broker community which seeks to provide customers with the best value possible. GTP means a reliable and cost effective service can be offered to marine insurance clients.
